We’re excited to announce an exclusive Canberra workshop for our Sissa Sorella community: a one-of-a-kind sneaker-making experience with Lou Clifton from the Shoe School! This workshop is designed in true Sissa Sorella style, combining creativity, craftsmanship, and of course, a touch of luxury.

What to Expect at the Workshop

Your day begins with the perfect start—coffee or tea and a delicious morning spread. Once everyone’s settled, you’ll dive into the exciting process of designing your sneakers. Lou will guide you through selecting colours and premium leather materials, ensuring your design reflects your personal style. You’ll choose from three classic sneaker styles: low cut, mid cut, or high top, and then it’s time to bring your vision to life!

Under Lou’s expert guidance, you’ll cut your patterns and start crafting your sneakers, one detail at a time. After a mid-day break with a delectable Sissa Sorella lunch, the afternoon is all about sewing, assembling, and constructing your masterpiece. By the end of the day, you’ll have your very own pair of custom-designed sneakers, beautifully boxed and ready to wear.

To celebrate, we’ll toast to your creativity and new connections with a glass of French champagne, paired with cheese and nibbles—a signature Sissa Sorella touch.

Lou Clifton founded Shoe School in New Zealand in 2015, helping thousands of students craft their own custom footwear. Her journey began with a love for shoemaking as a teenager, leading her to Australia, Japan, and the USA to refine her skills in bespoke techniques and cowboy boot crafting. With eight years of teaching experience, Lou brings passion, expertise, and a love for creativity to every workshop.
